Com o objectivo de identificar os principais factores de desconfiança nos agentes económicos decorrentes de desvios existentes entre modelos de boas práticas e a sua implementação no terreno e, em sequência, encontrar soluções para que o quadro de princípios de bom governo societário possa reforçar a capacidade das empresas para realizar as suas actividades de negócio com integridade e prevenir disfunções que possam ocorrer, a OCDE lançou um projecto transversal para o qual o IPCG, através da CMVM, foi convidada a colaborar. O que se pretende é recolher respostas às questões colocadas e, neste sentido, se divulga o modelo de participação pretendido e a forma como se pode concretizar.(+)

Subject: Invitation to participate – OECD Trust and Business Project

Dear Madam/Sir,

On behalf of CMVM we would like to invite you to participate in the new OECD Trust and Business (TNB) Project: http://www.oecd.org/daf/ca/trust-business.htm.

The goal of the TNB Project is to bridge the gap between business standards and their implementation. The Project aims to do this by identifying how a company’s corporate governance framework can strengthen its ability to do business with integrity and prevent corporate misconduct.

The Project provides a unique opportunity for businesses to engage with the OECD on these issues. If you have the time, we would very much appreciate your inputs at this very early stage in the Project. Interested private sector representatives could provide input in one or more of the following ways:

• Complete the OECD Trust and Business Survey on Business Integrity & Corporate Governance (http://webnet.oecd.org/Survey/Survey.aspx?s=45ea26c749054f1887ddc5cb0478f4c6 )
• Provide an interview or case study on business integrity challenges and good practices from a corporate governance perspective (see attached).

Your inputs will contribute to an initial TNB Project fact-finding issues paper, expected in June 2015. The findings of this paper will provide the foundation for a broader discussion as to how the Project could be brought forward. We look forward to continuing this discussion with you.
