Lunchtime Seminar:"What do we now know about boards"- to be held on 28 September at the EBRD
The seminar will be presented by Daniel Ferreira, Director of the Corporate Governance Programme at the Financial Markets Group, London School of Economics and Antonio Borges, Chairman of the Hedge Funds Standards Board and the European Corporate Governance Institute, member of the European Corporate Governance Forum and former Deputy Chairman of Goldman Sachs International.
The global financial crisis has raised important issues about the governance of banks and the role of boards, not only in banks, but also in non-financial corporations. Daniel Ferreira, one of the leading economic researchers on the role and functioning of boards in corporate governance, will summarise what we know about boards and what we have learned from the crisis. Antonio Borges will provide comments based on his experience from corporate boards throughout Europe and the US and his involvement in European corporate governance reform.
